Tuesday and Wednesday, it was up at 4:45am so we could be there at 6:30am. We’re out by 1:30 or 2:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It’s going to take a little getting used to those early mornings. We’ve had a real variety in our assignments, which makes it very interesting every day. We were even able to assist with a young couple who came to be married. We’ve also been able to enjoy some wonderful electrical storms, which I enjoy, but Mom’s not fond of at all. One cold, frosty morning, we had to stop and use our trusty Costco card to scrape the ice from our windshield before we could continue on our short drive to the temple.
Thursday - our day off from the temple (Our P-day). We spent the day doing our house cleaning, our shopping and our laundry. We’ve decided that we’re going to move some of that onto other days so we can have more free time on our P-day. There are eight other couples that also have Thursdays designated as their P-day, so we met with them Thursday evening to plan some group trips to the various nearby points of interest. It was decided that we would take a group trip once a month with the first one to Springfield, Illinois, the home of Abraham Lincoln.
This week we also enjoyed what is called “Nauvoo Rendezvous” a live production starring all of the Senior Site Missionaries. It was a fun, surprisingly good musical play about life in early Nauvoo. It plays every night except Sundays. If there is enough audience, it plays twice a night.
Friday and Saturday, it’s back to the temple. We are there about 12:30pm and finish at 8:00. We enjoyed another couple of very good days, again with a good variety of assignments. We’re still trying to adjust to our schedule so we can take in a lot of the local sites before or after our regular day’s work.
We’re enjoying being here very much and are meeting a lot of great people. At church today, we met Dena Fosset’s mother in-law & father in-law and had a nice chat with them.
Also, this past week on one of our walks we counted about 17 deer as they ran across our path. Today we saw a family of geese as they went into the water. Everything here is so green. The whole area down here on the flats (where we live) looks like a big park.
Thanks for all your mail. It’s always good to hear from you.
We love you all,
Mom & Dad

Sounds like you're getting the hang of things(although those hours seem a little like seminary hours - blah). You'll have to let us know about the Springfield trip. That's on Tyler's list of places to visit this summer.
Sounds like work! That's no vacation! We actually saw that little play that the missionaries put on. It was cute. Sounds like it's pretty there. I would worry about you guys wanting to move there but I know summer is coming. :)
